Plan Sea! - "We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat"

I am so grateful to have found myself owning a boat, really happy with what we have. Equally excited to putting our own stamp inside it next year. We've been busy looking at ideas and building a design brief, which means that boat porn has become my new property porn. My cyber trawl turned up this amazing catch. I got completely blown away by this bloody amazing ferry conversion. Moored up in Copenhagen ( a wow factor itself) it's more New York loft apartment inside than ferry boat grunge. A wow on every level. Family home, party palace and über cool living space. I was completely captivated by it. And by the vision it must have involved to imagine how a commercial ferry could be turned into a beautiful home and the drive turn it into a reality. I have spent many a moment imagining the joy of living on such as amazing space over the last couple of months.
SO I was doing my frequent boat porn internet search one night. And there it was, I found the trawler of my dreams! I guess you do really have to be careful what you wish for......
Needs a bit of work and imagination and a rather large mooring. Once we have more boat experience behind us then this would be THE project for us. I can see through the rotten decks, cement filled hole in the hull, rubbish filled rooms. I can see an amazing light filled space with amazing potential for exciting, fun fuelled living.
THEN
The whole idea took on a whole new life over a few beers this weekend and following the US election result. Doesn't seem such a bad option as purchases go. How the hell didTrump become president elect?. With Putin creating Satan 1&2, "Super-Nuke" warheads capable of obliterating an area the size of France, I got to say it may be time for Plan Sea!!!!!!!
Our weekend deliberations, which became even more certain with each beer, was that we should absolutely buy the trawler and turn it into a floating Arc. I reckon a desalination unit, create a roof top garden, some chickens a cow or 2. Just moor her up somewhere in safe waters & Bingo we are WW3 ready.
Add solar panels, rainwater collection, few bee-hives Grow some crops, small trees on-deck and I think we may have also come up with the ultimate sustainable eco system. Well they did say this week that it's looking to be the hottest year on record a new high for the 3rd year running. I am thinking that there may be some method in our madness!
Josh's contribution, add a few rifles and pitchforks on board and we would be even ready for a zombie apocalypse!!!!
